OCCA site has a great gas lease map
This map is very clear and understandable ---
Has anyone visited either of the gas wells in Morris that are marked on the map?
Does anyone know how recently they were dug.

OCCA agrees to provide insurance for Morris School Meeting
Hi Paddy,
That's good that OCCA is on board -- did they want to provide any guidance or input before joining in??
If you want the blog to be a reliable and useful reflection of the steps and progress in the process - it would be better to use it and send folks the link to the new posting --
switching back and forth is like tearing pages out of a journal ---
later you or someone else might say --- "Now, how did that happen?"
or "What question does that statement answer?"
But if the blog gets in the way -- it could just be dropped.
I just find it more useful than sorting through all my emails --

Response to Bob T
Thanks, Bob, this is absolutely terrific! To fill in a couple gaps:
Tues evening, Feb 16, 7 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Oneonta, 12 Ford Ave.
The fifth speaker was to be a geologist. I will call Brian Brock, very knowledgeable on gas drilling, although he's not a petroleum geologist.

http://baddish.blogspot.com/
All others welcome to attend a meeting in the evening -- where? when?
2) Morris presentation - When? March 22, 23 or 24
Where? School or Methodist Church
Who? up to five speakers - order to be determined
MC - Joe Richardson
a. banker/realtor
b. lawyer - Mary Jo Long?
c. biologist - Dr. Bill Harmon
d. former Exxon/Mobil exec - Lou Halstead?
e. another person?

4) Morris Town Board meetings -- who is willing to attend and be a "friend" to listen and ask the important questions?
5) farther north in the valley - keep in mind holding a meeting further north (New Lisbon / Garrattsville and/or Edmeston
6) Bob Eklund - went to get a loan on his property - was asked if he had it tied up in any gas leases --- also matters if adjacent properties are leased --- What has the search for natural gas cost us already.
